What is Oriental Pain Relief Therapy/ Vinamassage
If you want rapid results from a host of symptoms why not try Vinamassage? You have probably heard of acupuncture and if you are one of those who maybe afraid of needles or just don't fancy the thought of them, then this could be for you. The results are the same (some may even go as far as saying faster!), but this is non-invasive and without needles. Please note: Vinamassage is a different therapy from acupuncture and is not acupressure.
Vinamassage offers rapid results from a whole host of conditions, some of which include:
| · Arthritis | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Back problems | | · Knee/ankle or foot problems | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Migraines | | · Muscular problems | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Neck pain | | · Repetitive injuries | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Spinal injuries | | · Sprains or strains | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Sports injuries | | · Stiff joints | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | · Tennis elbow |
These and numerous other conditions have been successfully treated by this therapy.
How it works:
Its theory lies in the neurological points around the body and also acupuncture points. Based on traditional oriental medicine and widely used throughout many parts of south east Asia Vinamassage has the answer. By stimulating those points without the use of needles, instead using a combination of tools and massage, the results are equally impressive as with acupuncture.
What it entails:
You remain dressed throughout the treatment session. A series of exercises will "open" your body to receive the stimulation. The symptom (pain/problem) will be tested; this will be followed by the stimulation specific to your symptoms. A variety of areas on the face/hands/feet or body will be stimulated. However, your practitioner will work with your body's requirements at all times. In order to get the body to heal at the optimal level it is important not to over stimulate in any one session.
Also, in some cases the use of "Moxa" will be used in addition to the tools and pressure to achieve pain relief. Moxibustion/ Moxabustion has been used in traditional oriental medicine for thousands of years. It involves the burning of a mixture of Chinese herbs close to the neurological points relating to the body part that is in pain. The "moxa" is burnt near the surface of the skin, and there is no risk of scarring or marking the body. Your therapist is fully qualified in this process and can answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding this. Please note the use of moxa is an option, as always it is your decision. These days, we use techniques that were the norm many centuries ago, we are being reintroduced to the healing powers of many ancient traditions.
You will be advised on aftercare at the end of each session.
How many sessions will I need? Many people who come for this treatment are often surprised by how quickly symptoms are addressed. However, this depends on your body's ability to receive and heal, no two cases being the same. You may require a number of sessions close together, or maybe just one or two. The key to success is to work with your body and its pain management. Often once the symptom is addressed, many people like to investigate the cause(s) of the imbalance (based on traditional oriental medicine philosophy), as always this is your choice as to whether or not you wish to continue to address the cause, as relief from the symptom has been achieved. This will be discussed with you at the appropriate time as you progress with your treatment plan. If you like the thought of this pain relief therapy and want to see what it can do for you, please contact us with your requirements. To move on from the symptom to addressing the cause, many people opt for Facial Reflexology, however, as you reach this stage in your treatment the options specific to you will be discussed.
